Eric Tuan, composer

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Eric Tuan is highly sought after as a choral conductor, composer, and collaborative keyboardist. Tuan started his musical journey in the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir as a young chorister, and is currently on faculty as Ecco conductor and composer-in-residence.  In July 2019, he transitioned to Artistic Director of the internationally recognized program.

Robin Sharp, violin

Robin Sharp, a native of California, is a solo performer, chamber musician, concertmaster, and teacher. Ms. Sharp has appeared in recital at many prestigious venues including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the National Music Hall in Taipei, and at Carnegie Hall. In 2010, a violin concerto called “Haili Lirico” was written for Ms. Sharp by composer Gabriela Lena Frank, in remembrance of her father, Terry Sharp.

Michael Gilbertson, BMI Foundation Composer-in-Residence at the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra

Michael Gilbertson is the BMI Foundation Composer-in-Residence with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He holds degrees from The Juilliard School of Music studying composition with Samuel Adler, John Corigliano, Christopher Rouse, and from Yale, where he studied with Aaron Jay Kernis, Martin Bresnick, David Lang, Ezra Laderman, Hannah Lash, and Christopher Theofanidis.
